Outdoor Research offers an excellent ski jacket in the Igneo model. Fully taped seams, water resistant zippers with an external front zipper stormflap and a 2-layer 70D Pertex® Shield waterproofing keep the wet out. While elastic cuffs with hook/loop tabs, a removable helmet compatible hood, zip-out powder skirt and drawcord hem adjustments keep the snow on the outside, the EnduraLoft™ insulation (100 g body, 60 g sleeves) keep the cold out and warm in.
Articulated elbows for ease of motion and 2 way pit zips in the breathable Pertex® Shield fabric will vent that body heat while skinning the side country. A lot of thought and "research" here for maximum functionality in a forward fashion style - even adds a zippered internal pocket with media port - and - you'll love the price.
