Guide Review - Obermeyer Insulator Jacket

This Obermeyer jacket is truly a versatile ski jacket. With an extremely comfortable quilted design, it performed well during spring skiing, and the wearer didn't need another layer while skiing in it in moderate spring temps. With Obermeyer's Weather X System 3, this jacket not only protected the wearer against cool temperatures, but it was waterproof and windprood. This insulator jacket also stood up against spring showers. This ski jacket performed well as insulator, too - if any wind permerated the outerlayer during harsh winter weather, this jacket stopped cold gusts from getting any farther.

As functional as this ski jacket is, it's also fashionable. The colors are great, and certainly brighten up any ski day. The slim design also means that this jacket is suitable for winter activities off the slopes, too, whether you're running errands or hitting the apres-ski scene.

The only problems we had with this jacket was that it was slightly too thin to be worn alone on very chilly days. It might need to be accompanied with a sweater or a fleece when the temperatures drop, or obviously worn under a heavier jacket during harsh winter weather. Also, if you're fashion-conscious, you will find that due to such unique coloring, this jacket might not match everything in your ski wardrobe. However, all in all, this jacket is quite a good buy!
