College Ski Vacations for Students

By

Would you rather return to campus with a goggle tan than a beach tan? If so, a college spring break trip to a ski resort might be a great option for you. College ski trips are priced reasonably for a student’s budget, and offer the chance to experience world-class terrain—a valuable experience if your college isn’t as close to the mountains as you might like. Not only will you be able to get in some great runs, but you’ll be able to enjoy access to some of the hottest resort night life, meet new friends, and maybe even come away with a goggle tan that will be the envy of all skiers on campus.

College Ski Trips

College Ski Trips offers pre-planned excursions to some of the best resorts in the country, and their list of participating mountains is extensive. Available for college students aged 18-25, you can plan a trip through the website and receive excellent student deals. Use their “Resort Finder” search tool to find the best resort for your preferences, and be sure to inquire about group rates—these kinds of group trips are popular among fraternities, sororities, student-run organizations, or simply just large groups of friends looking for a ski getaway at a discounted price.

College Ski Packages

College Ski Packages hosts both Winter Break and Spring Break ski trips. You can opt for a “Party Trip” which includes a five night stay in deluxe condo accommodations, lift tickets for four days, discounted lessons, rentals, and extra tickets, and nightly party specials which are free of cover charge. Or, if you’re a hardcore skier, you might be interested in a “First Tracks Trip,” which is simply a ski trip without the trip-sponsored party specials. Prices depend on the quality of lodging that you choose, but are totally affordable. Also, if you sign up to become a Rep for the company at your campus, and organize just twenty people, your trip is free.

Echo Tours

Every year, Echo Tours brings about 10,000 skiers and snowboarders to resorts such as Winter Park, Telluride, Copper Mountain, and Aspen Snowmass. Trips also run to Park City, Heavenly Lake Tahoe, Big Sky Montana, Steamboat, and Whistler Blackcomb. The all-inclusive prices range from about $300-$400 for five night/six day stay and four day lift ticket. Also, some destinations offer perks such as free night skiing, free ice skating, spa gatherings, and off-resort excursions, as well.

Inertia Tours

Intertia Tours offers college ski trips to Colorado, with ski-in/ski-out lodging that includes lift tickets, as well. You can also opt for meals plans and Red Carpet Party Packages. Inertia is the largest provider of college ski trip services, and their trips are six days long with Sunday check-ins and four days of lift tickets. They offer nightly party itineraries and the option to rent equipment, too. Expect to pay between $400 and $500, an unbelievable price for a weeks’ worth of lodging and lift tickets at some of Colorado’s best ski resorts.

Lifestylez Ski Vacations

Lifestylez hosts college ski vacations to top-notch resorts, including Aspen, Breckenridge, Vail, Winter Park, Telluride, Crested Butte, and Jackson Hole. The trips are generally five to six days long and the price includes lift tickets, lodging, transportation, food and drinks discounts, and special party and entertainment opportunities, all at unbelievable prices (generally between $300-500). Usually, a student “Rep” from one college will organize one main group from that campus, and group transportation will be provided to and from your college. If your college doesn’t have Rep, don’t worry! You and your friends can register with Lifestylez to find another local group.

SkiTravel - CollegeXBreaks

SkiTravel offers “CollegeXBreaks” trips to Mont Tremblant, a resort in Quebec, Canada with awesome skiing and a great village, too—you’ll enjoy amazing restaurants, crazy clubs and bars, micro-brew pubs, and shopping and spa opportunities, too. Trips run in December and January, as well as during Spring Break, too. The price varies slightly based on when you choose to go, but is within the $300-400 range and includes lodging and lift tickets. The trips are organized from college campuses, so contact your Rep to get started.
