Z-MASTER is a free standing, fully automated measuring machine designed to use state of the art ultrasound and anode lighting technology to measure ski shop rental customers. The machine measures ones height, weight, shoe size (both length and width) with no data entry or guessing by the consumer.
All the skier has to do is answer three questions on the built-in LCD screen:
1. Are you wearing boots or socks?
2. What level skier you are (Beginner, Intermediate, Expert)
3. Your age group
The answers to these questions along with the automated calculations from the machine are printed out within 10 seconds. The printout is then handed to the counter person with the customer's height and weight, the ski boot size and the exact binding setting (Din Specs) needed, based on weight. The pole length needed is also calculated, but a ski length is not provided because the folks at Z - Master have found that every person has their own preference based on their experience.
It is hoped by the manufacturers of Z - MASTER that the machine will revolutionize the entire ski rental industry, based on quickly getting the customer in and out of the rental shop and on the slope. This in turn will make the skiers experience more pleasant, enable ski schools to start on time, and increase return visits by customers due to the fact the rental process was stress free. Z - MASTER can be tailored to each mountains requirement (printouts will have the logo and mountain name) as well as being compatible with all software currently on the market for the ski industry.
