In downtown Jackson, you'll find art galleries, eateries, shops, restaurants and bars, all of which are colored by the town's "Old West" flair.
The National Elk Refuge, just outside of town, offers wagon rides, guided by real cowboys, that provide a glimpse into the real habitat of the native elk herds.
The town's distinct Wyoming flavor extends into Jackson Hole Resort's Teton Village, a purpose-built community at the base of the mountain.
The famous Mangy Moose restaurant and bar is a hallmark of the village, though you'll also find fine-dining options, cafes, boutiques and bars.
