Rossignol has been a major player in alpine ski racing for many years and last season garnished a Gold Medal in Slalom and Super G at the FIS World Championships in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany. Through their Engineering and Research and Development, Rossignol is quick to implement what works well in ski racing into their recreational skis.
For 2011-2012 Rossignol has incorporated four Rocker profiles into their line. From the no camber, 100% rocker Spin Turn, the Powder Turn with 50% low camber underfoot, 50% tip and tail, to the Auto Turn with 70% highcamber underfoot and 30% tip and tail rocker and the traditional camber design of the Power Turn technology there's a Rossi for every skier and condition.
Also new and exciting from Rossignol is the All Mountain Experience series and the women specific All Mountain Temptation series.
Returning with note is Rossi's environmentally friendly ski - the women's Attraxion 8 Echo. This ski uses fewer petroleum-based products and lacquers and natural linen fibers replace synthetic materials. The lightweight poplar wood core is harvested from sustainable wood sources. A great effort by Rossignol to be as "green-minded" as possible in a world gone totally plastic and fiberglass.
Reflecting and how far they've come and where they're taking us, here's what the folks at Rossignol have to say about the 2011-2012 collection.
"Rossignol has been building innovative technical ski equipment from its home in the French Alps since 1907. Today, over 100 years later, Rossignol is blending modern ski technology with high-performance materials, human intuition and a deep understanding of every skier's needs so we can continue to drive the growth of our sport and make skiing more fun, for more people.
By implementing new rocker profiles throughout our ski lines like Auto Turn, Powder Turn and Spin Turn Rocker we're enhancing the ski experience for all skier types; helping everyday skiers progress faster and professional athletes push further.
Meanwhile Rossignol's Sensor Fit boot technology is addressing all of the common boot fit issues to create the best balance of comfort and high-performance for every foot shape and skier type on the mountain.
The results are those you can see and feel in every Rossignol product and also what sets us apart from every other ski company.
Rossignol. Better mountain experiences… By Design."

S7 - Freeride Ski
The S7 has probably garnished every award out there for a powder ski and what makes it so appealing is that the flotation from the Powder Turn rocker, combining low camber underfoot with high tip and tail rocker, makes it seem effortless for turning in the deep and even when it's not so deep. The S7 is a real confidence builder for good skiers heading into a day of powder skiing mainly by eliminating the muscle tension powder newbies get when it's over the knees. By the number of S7s I've seen I think the S7 just might be the 'state ski' of Utah.

Prettier graphics then the men's version but you might not be able to catch her to tell her.
