Line skis has come a long way from the garage days when it was one pair of skis a day, but the mission of building skis to bring skiers to the next level to realize all they can, and want, to be is still the same. With a great Research and Development team and input from a team of solid professional skiers like Eric Pollard - also a ski graphic artist - Line's 2011-2012 collection is as progressive as ever and of course, with graphics so cool you might want to frame your Line skis - but only in the off-season.
Here's a few words from guys at Line Skis about the 2011-12 collection of Line skis:
"YO! You work hard for your money! For that lift ticket, the pass, the gear and the gas to get you there. You waited a long time for your day on the mountain and we agree, this is no time to be riding your dad’s skis. It’s 2011 and we’re continuing to build breakthrough products that give you the futuristic super powers to have more fun, with more control and less effort than ever previously thought possible. Ollie ropes, tuck bump runs, and spray snowboarders while passing them switch. We guarantee you’ll have more fun on these skis."
Following is some information on a selection of skis from the DPS 2011-2012 collection. Read more about these and all the Line Skis.
Mr. Pollard's Opus - Powder Ski
The 2011-12 Line Opus brings a whole new concept to powder skis, it actually dares to reconfigure the ski tip geometry. The re-engineering lowers the Line Early Rise so it planes more in powder and reduces the length of the Early Taper for more edge. The Opus is Eric Pollard's masterpiece for 2011-12 and you should really give these a ride. Length and Tip-To-Tail dimensions 178, 185, come as 144-118-141
Chronic - All-Terrain Freestyle Ski
The Line Chronic ski is an old friend to a lot serious skiers. The traditional Line Maple Macroblock Core makes for a snappy flex and powers those tricks while that 92mm underfoot and directional G-Cut Geometry the Chronic brings on the spot precision everywhere on the mountain.
Length and Tip-To-Tail dimensions
163, 173, 178, 183 come as 121-92-117
Prophet 98 - Freeride Ski
The Prophet 98 builds on the Maple Macroblock Core and gets covered by a Metal Matrix looking to make the Prophet 98 more stable and responsive over all of the mountain. Adding the Early Rise provides both float in the power and over the crud while offering easy turn initiation on the hard stuff.
Length and Tip-To-Tail dimensions
165, 172, 179, 186 come as 132-98-123
Afterbang - Park Ski
The Afterbang is Line's top selling freestyle ski.
