How to Introduce Your Child to Skiing

Consider renting a pair of ski boots that your son or daughter can toddle around in before hitting the slopes. One of the first ways most ski schools familiarize their students with skiing is by having them walk around in ski boots. This way, your child will get used to the feel of having ski boots on for an extended period of time, and you'll know ahead of time if the boots fit properly. Also, walking around in ski boots allows your child to begin to understand how to maneuver their foot within the boot and to develop the muscles that are key to flexion and rotation.
