FIS World Cup Ski Flying Competition

Definition: Ski flying is ski jumping competition on slopes longer than 170 or 185 meters. In comparison, Olympic ski jumps are 90 and 120 meters.

The FIS Ski Flying World Championships have been held, typically every 2 years, since 1972. Each championship awards the FIS world champion title and medals in both an individual and a team event. There is no Olympic Ski Flying competition.
