Champagne Powder

By

Champagne Powder Courtesy of Dennis Taufenbach
Definition: Champagne powder ™ is very light, dry, and smooth snow, which is great for skiing. Champagne powder snow is so light you can't make a snowball with it.

The term was apparently first used at Steamboat, Colorado to describe the region's light dry Rocky Mountain snow and Steamboat has trademarked the term.
