Men's World Cup Events at Kranjska Gora, Slovenia

Giant Slalom Results

Benjamin Raich of Austria finished first in the Giant Slalom, with Massimilimo Blardone of Italy second and Canadian Thomas Grandl third.

For the U.S. Ski, Team Erik Schlopy (Park City, UT) and Jimmy Cochran (Keene, NH) finished 6-7 while Dane Spencer (Boise, ID) was 20th. Tom Rothrock (Cashmere, WA) and Steve Nyman (Orem, UT) did not finish on the first run. Ted Ligety (Park City,UT) did not qualify for the second run. Both Bode Miller (Bretton Woods, NH) and Daron Rahlves (Sugar Bowl, CA) skied out on the final run.

Slalom Results

In the Slalom, Italy's Giorgio Rocca stayed unbeaten this season, winning his third straight. Thomas Grendl of Canada was second and American Ted Ligety (Park City, UT) returned to the podium for the second time this season, finishing third.

Also skiing for the U.S., Jimmy Cochran (Keene, NH) was 15th while Bode Miller (Bretton Woods, NH), Chip Knight (Stowe, VT), Erik Schlopy (Park City, UT), and Tom Rothrock, (Cashmere, WA) did not finish the second run. Steve Nyman, (Orem, UT) was eliminated during the first run.
