The XX Winter Olympics skiing events included alpine skiing (downhill, slalom, giant slalom, super G, and combined), freestyle skiing, cross country skiing, and nordic combined, which involves ski jumping and cross country skiing.

Torino 2006 Winter Games

Skiing Olympic Events:

• Freestyle skiing events were held at Sauze d’Oulx, approximately 80 kilometers (49.7 miles) from Torino.
• Alpine skiing events were held at Sestrière, which is 100 kilometers (62 miles) away from Torino.
• Cross country ski racing, nordic combined, and ski jumping were at Pragelato, which is just a few kilometers from Sestrière.
