In 2007, Bode Miller announced that he would be leaving the U.S. Ski Team and would be skiing independently.
In 2008, Bode Miller led the American skiers winning the Audi FIS World Cup Overall and Super Combined.

In 2007 at Are, Bode was 6th in Super Combined, 7th in Downhill, 15th in Giant Slalom, 24th in Super G, and DNF in Slalom and Combined. At Bormio, in 2005 he was 1st in Downhill, 1st in Super G, and DNF in Giant Slalom, Combined and Slalom.
Bode finished 1st in the Giant Slalom and Combined, 2nd in the Super G, 6th in Slalom and 16th in the Downhill at St. Moritz in 2003. At St. Anton, in 2001 he was DNF in Super G.
In 1999 Bode was 8th in Slalom, 18th in Giant Slalom and 26th in Super G.

In 2002 at the Salt Lake City Games he was 2nd in Giant Slalom and Combined and 24th in the Slalom. At Nagano in 1998 Miller was DNF in both Slalom and giant Slalom.
