Founded in 1949, the TBirds (www.tbirdskiclub.com) is a multi-functional club with 650 members who are very active in the SE Michigan/Detroit area and across the entire country. Although specializing in many well-run ski trips, the activities extend to year-round, varied outings and get-togethers aptly geared to spark the interest of anyone. With a time-tested recipe for organization, The TBirds are the largest club of its kind in Michigan and ranks as one of the largest in the country.

Thunderbird Ski Club: Sports and Social Activities:

The Thunderbird Ski Club's year-round activities include: golf (including a weekly league and weekend trips], weekly biking/inline skating, motorcycle tours, picnics [with typical attendance from 200-300 people}. The Club also hosts the largest alpine race team in the 13-club, MACC race league TBird Racing. Also included are European ski/tour trips along with typically 5-6 Western ski trips, a "Boyne Bash" Michigan ski trip, weekly ski instruction, boating outings, Broadway play trips, canoe/kayak trips, baseball and hockey game outings, auto and horse racing outings, euchre parties, and bi-weekly social parties.
