While Hal was adjusting my feet in the Instaprint BioGel Molding cavities, he was also pre-heating a set of Instaprint Customform Wintersport insole blanks (shown in the photo) that he had pre-trimmed to my liner size. The Customform insoles are made from a medical grade, low temperature thermoplastic. These are then laminated with an EVA topcover that is impregnated with a friction-reducing silicone for easing the foot in and out of the liner.
When the blank was at the right temperature Hal set them into the molding cavities impressed with my footprint and I again semi weighted on the molds. When Hal was satisfied I was in the most balanced position over the heated blanks, I held that for several minutes until the blank was hardened into a mold of my foot.
