This 08-09 ski season, Rossignol has 4 series with over 24 models to look at. The number following the Rossignol model name refers to the flex resistance when bending the ankle, on average 150-120 is stiff, 110-90 is average and 80-50 is soft.
Rossignol Radical World Cup
Rossignol's race version, pure and narrow at 92mm width, the Radical World Cup boots are very stiff and narrow, so excellent performance with some fitting necessary.
Rossignol Zenith
The all-mountain Zenith series with the Zenith Pro 120 at 98mm and Zenith Pro 110 and Zenith Pro 100 at 100mm are the best options for them. These boots will keep a nicely tight heel pocket with forefoot comfort in a flexible skiable option. The Zenith 90 at 102mm width is more generous volume all around in a good average flex.
Rossignol B-Squad
The B-Squad series (buy direct) is more expensive but very similar to the Zenith. However, the B-Squad does offer different color options from the Zenith.
Rossignol Exalt
Their answer to the wide series is the Exalt series (buy direct) all at 104mm width. The Exalt X12 (80/70) and the Exalt X10 (70/60) are good, and also less expensive options for skiers with wide feet or comfort oriented skiers.
Rossignol Freestyle Boots
Rossignol freestyle boots are their SAS Pro 120 and SAS Pro 110, classic styling in an all white boot with black buckles. Their wildest looking option comes in the SAS FS 2. This is a straight up-right ski boot that is also available in snow leopard camouflage.
Rossignol Women's Ski Boots
Rossignol (buy direct) does have female specific models with their Electra 90, Electra 80 both at 100mm. These boots are good for most athletic female skiers that like this flex. The B Pro W 100 at 98mm is their top female offering and the advanced level female will look at their Zenith 120 for a more powerful ski boot.
