I was skiing around up there, over 3,000 acres of groomers, glades and bowls without getting a sense of the enormity of the mountain. You need a lot more than a week to ski all there is to ski and with Glacier National Park and all the water activities during the summer, it's easy to see why more than a few 'locals' I met were transplants who came, saw, skied and stayed.
Plan a ski vacation here and I can pretty much guarantee it will be on your return soon list - it's on mine.

Skiing Whitefish Mountain Resort
Whitefish Mountain Resort has 94 marked runs and I mean runs, not little 10 foot cutoffs that get a name to boost the trail count. Hellfire, the longest run is close to 3.5 miles and you won't be straight running it so that's a lot of skiing right there. In total, you are looking at over 3000 acres of runs, trees, bowls, and glades and almost everything feeds off from the summit.
Whitefish Mountain Resort Accommodations
During my visit to Whitefish Mountain Resort, I stayed a few nights on the mountain and a few nights nearer the Whitefish town on Whitefish Lake. On the mountain I stayed in the Kandahar Lodge, a ski-in alpine lodge on the main road to Whitefish Mountain Resort village.
