Need a gift for your favorite skier or perhaps something to add to your holiday "wish list"? Here is a selection of my choices for holiday gift giving - or receiving.
Ski the 14ers
Between January 22, 2006 and January 19, 2007, Aspen’s Chris Davenport skied all 54 of Colorado’s 14,000-foot peaks within one year. Ski The 14ers tells the story of this epic adventure through stunning photography and first hand trip reports. Order early to get your copy before the holidays.
Backcountry Magazine
Backcountry Magazine is a permanent fixture on my list. The photography is awesome and the articles are well worth a read, regardless of your skiing level and where you like to ski.
The Ski Journal
This collectible journal deserves a permanent spot on your coffee table. The colors in the pictures rival those in any travel, best homes, or architectural publications, and the photos have hues and shades you expect to only see in glossy prints. The pictures alone are worth the cover price.
Boot Warmers
Cold, numb toes are very painful and can turn make any ski day miserable. Electronic foot warmers are the most convenient way to heat ski boots and keep the feet warm and you'll receive a big thanks from the recipient!
Ski Goggles
There's no question that good goggles should be an essential on everybody's skiing checklist, especially in the cold and high wind of mid-winter and there are lots of shapes and features to choose from.
Under Armour Cold Gear
I honestly don't think you can have too many sets of Under Armour. It's light, warm, comfortable and you can't beat it for base layer attire. It is available in men's, women's, and kid's sizes.
Ski Vacation
Even if you didn't book this season's ski vacation early, if you shop around, you'll be able to find discounted ski vacations at a variety of locations.
