Keystone Ski Vacation Family Activities
You can go from the River Run Gondola base in Keystone village to the top of Dercum Mountain. Here you'll find the Summit House where you can lunch at the Food Court.
Or, if you aren't hungry yet then you can transfer over to the Outpost Gondola and ride to North Peak for lunch at The Outpost.
Also located at The Outpost is the Alpenglow Stube - the highest AAA Four-Diamond dining experience in North America (the top of North Peak is 11,444 feet).
Kick off your shoes and slip into fuzzy Austrian slippers provided by the Stube. Then savor a culinary masterpiece of cuisine for lunch or dinner with a contemporary, Bavarian influence.
Dinner at Der Fondue Chessel
Try a special dinner here at Der Fondue Chessel. Fashioned after a Swiss lodge, Der Fondue Chessel is perfect for a family dinner, large groups, or even a cozy dinner for two. This four-course dinner is accompanied by live music provided by “Those Austrian Guys.”
Ride a Snowcat
Back over at KAT Central on Decrum Mountain you can take a snowcat ride along the Top Trail to the "Top Of The World" for views of the Continental Divide, the Ten Mile Range and the Gore Range.
Visit the Tubing Parking
Also at the top of Dercum is the highest tubing park with it's own covered magic carpet lift. Try it at night under the stars for a real thrill.
Slopecycles and Snowbikes
Now, for the really energetic - try slopecycles, or maybe snowbikes. Or, how about a good old fashion Peak to Peak Snowshoe Tour from the top of Decrum Mountain up into the bowls? Or a less strenuous full moon snowshoe tour is available from the Nordic Center.
Skiing under the lights at night is pretty common in the east and midwest but rather rare in the west. So while you're here at Keystone take advantage of the most available night skiing terrain in Colorado, which even includes the A-51 terrain park.
You won't be bored at Keystone Resort.
