Arapahoe Basin
At Arapahoe Basin, $1.2 million dollars will be put into improvements for the 2008/2009 ski and snowboard season. New snowmaking capabilities will enhance the Sundance terrain and allow for more beginners skiing. There's also a new Sundeck at the Black Mountain Lodge and 300 additional parking spaces connected to the resort via a pedestrian tunnel under Highway 6 for safe and easy walking access to and from the base area.
Aspen/Snowmass
Aspen Skiing Co. is investing $35 million in capital improvements for this season including a new Sheer Bliss lift, a 22-foot Olympic-size halfpipe at Buttermilk and in Deep Temerity, at Aspen Highlands, 18 additional acres of glades skiing between Hyde Park and Mushroom Chutes called Canopy Cruiser. In Snowmass new ski-in/ski-out condos and Sneakey's Tavern will be ready for ski season. Performance Ski, a luxurious collection of skiwear from Aspen’s world-renowned boutique will also debut.
Copper Mountain
At Copper Mountain a new indoor sport training facility is set to open in January. Camp Woodward at Copper offers trampolines, foam pits, and resipads that will let skiers practice jumps and tricks with less chance of injury.
Crested Butte
Best news this winter is increased and expanded airline service. ,Crested Butte Mountain Resort has a remodeled Treasury Center, a new "Camp CB" for kids. On-mountain glading and brush cutting and terrain expansion in Teocalli Bowl will be ready.
Monarch Mountain
At Monarch Mountain a new reservation system, a new ski school and rental center, a new kid's terrain park called Tilt, a widened Sleepy Hollow run and 200 additional acres of Snowcat area will greet skiers this season. The resort is also working with the U.S. Forest Service to get a new lift to serve No-Name Bowl.
Powderhorn
Powderhorn is adding two new trails on the mountain’s West End area and a new Magic Carpet surface lift.
Purgatory
As part of a 25 year master plan mountain improvements will include a new high-speed quad lift in the Legends Area, which is also getting new tree trails, plus more beginner and intermediate trails. Replacing Chair 4 is also in the plan.
Steamboat
At Steamboat, most of the improvements this season center a $1 million upgrade to snowmaking equipment and pipelines, new grooming equipment, and expanding The Meadows parking facility by 200 spaces.

Telluride
The opening of Telluride's new Revelation Bowl is center stage this ski season as well as two new restaurants.
Vail Resorts
Vail Resorts Inc. has invested $100 to $115 million in on-mountain and hospitality improvements this season.
- At Keystone, the River Run gondola has been moved from across the creek to the middle of River Run Village. A new mid-station has been added to let skiers exit or enter at mid-mountain.
- Beaver Creek has a new children's ski school, called the "Ranch" ready for this season.
- In Vail, the Arrabelle at Vail Square and Vail Mountain Plaza are complete and all of the construction equipment is gone.
- At Breckenridge, the new BreckConnect gondola is ready and the base at Peak 7 has been renovated with the Crystal Peak Lodge slated to open soon and a whole new ski school.
Winter Park
Winter Park is completing a new $5.8 million open-air gondola, the Village Cabriolet, which will bring guests from the free parking lot to the new village. This is the 4th new lift in the past three years at Winter Park. Winter Park also has also bought $250,000 new rental skis and gear.
