Happy Valentine's Day Skiing Weekend From Park City

By February 14, 2013

Follow me on:

Take advantage of a Valentine's Day long weekend to spend a romantic interlude and Park City skiing before heading right into President's Week.

So,  in no particular order, the plans call for a day at Canyons Resort with lunch at the Lookout Cabin, apres-ski drinks around the firepit at the Farm and dinner at Talisker on Main for the 'Chef's Tasting' - an adventure in culinary delight and different each and every time.

Just the other day a gentleman on a Deer Valley chair told me "a happy wife means a happy life" so set a day for skiing Deer Valley Resort and taking lunch at the Royal Street Café. It's a European alpine lunch so we catch some rays right at the the Silver Lake 'beach.' Keeping the evening European, it's reservations for Fireside Dining at Empire Canyon Lodge featuring four courses served from five stone fireplaces.

Day 3 of romance in Park City and keeping alive the Park City romantic European alpine theme, ride the Town Lift up and into Park City Mountain Resort. Morning coffee lingers over the views from Mid-Mountain Lodge and lunch outside at the Summit House.

The evening surprise comes with the snowcat drawn carriage ride up to dinner at the Viking Yurt - The Today Show, NBC says the Yurt at Park City Mountain Resort is one of the "Most Romantic Places to Propose in America." - or re-propose if that's in order.

After the romantic Valentine's Day Park City weekend catch your breath and stick around for great skiing throughout President's week and check out these great Park City lodging deals.
