Ted Ligety of Park City, UT skied to his second gold of the FIS Alpine Ski World Championships in Schladming, Austria, winning the super combined. Sixth after the downhill, Ligety nailed the second fastest slalom run to clinch the top combined score.
It was the fourth career World Championship medal for Ted and his third gold. In addition to winning last week's super G, he captured gold in giant slalom in Garmisch-Partenkirchen two years ago.
Ligety will be going for a third gold in giant slalom later this week and the Nation's Team Event is set for Tuesday evening.
