For some skiers - especially those on vacation - the mountain experience doesn't end with the last ski run. In many resort towns, once the lifts close, another world emerges: the aprés-ski scene.
In towns like Park City, Utah or Aspen, Colorado, restaurants, bars, lounges and clubs come alive with everyone from tourists to locals, ski instructors to lift operators.
As you start to plan your next ski vacation, remember that you'll probably need to pack more than just your ski jacket, pants and gear in ordered to be prepared for your aprés-ski experience.
If you plan on exploring the ski town, you'll need some "street clothes" in addition to your long underwear and ski socks. Especially if you intend on hitting up aprés-ski restaurants, bars and pubs, you'll need to be prepared.
If you aren't sure how to dress for the aprés-ski scene, this list of aprés-ski essentials and accessories is a great way to start.
