Friday's FIS Alpine Ski World Championships super combined race in Schladming, Austria was won by Lindsy Vonn's perennial rival Maria Hoefl-Riesch with the new World Cup overall leader Tina Maze in second and Nicole Hosp of Austria third, followed by three more of her Austrian teammates.
Julia Mancuso of Squaw Valley, CA was the top finisher for the U.S. Team finishing eighth, with USA Teammates Laurenne Ross of Bend, OR 11th and Mammoth Mountain's Stacey Cook 18th.
