I know the calendar says it's officially spring and around my house it is looking pretty snowless. But, rest assured there is at least some snow in the mountains.
Many ski resorts are still going strong, even though others are starting to close because of the conditions.
Some areas really love springtime and Mammoth Mountain, California is one such resort famous for spring skiing and sometimes that becomes summer skiing.
Skiing on Memorial Day is pretty typical in a Mammoth Mountain season and celebrating July 4th on skis isn't too out of the ordinary. In fact the latest closing date was August 13, 1995.
