On any given day there are a lot of bachelors at Canyons Resort in Park City, Utah. Most of these guys are intent on searching out powder stashes, but this coming Monday, January 23, one bachelor at Canyons Resort will be chasing something else.
Bachelor Ben Flajnik - THE Bachelor of ABC's The Bachelor show will be searching for the woman of his dreams at Canyon Resort - I don't know if he falls in love with one of the intended girls, but he'll be sure to fall in love with Canyons and with the episode's home base at Waldorf Astoria Park City - the first ski resort added to Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts.
Bachelor Ben and the women vying for his heart will go on dream dates ranging from helicopter tours of the spectacular Wasatch Mountain Range and secluded yurt dinners to fly fishing, rock climbing and an intimate concert at Canyons Resort with country musician Clay Walker.
"The destination of Park City is an ideal romantic retreat any time of the year with beautiful hotels, fabulous dining and amazing outdoor experiences. Canyons Resort, Utah's largest with 4,000 acres and 182 runs, offers couples year-round adventure whether it's hiking, fishing and mountain biking in summer, or skiing, snowboarding and snowshoeing in winter," said Linda Warren, Chief Marketing Officer at Talisker Mountain Incorporated, which owns Canyons Resort and Waldorf Astoria Park City.
Besides smitten Bachelor Ben and the ladies, the show will be highlighting all that's new and exciting at Canyons Resort, a Talisker mountain destination which is the fourth-largest ski resort in North America with 182 trails across nine mountains, also making it Utah's largest.
Five world-class hotels at Canyons range from the luxurious Waldorf Astoria Park City to the Grand Summit Hotel that offers an AAA Four-Diamond mountain experience. Additionally, Canyons Resort offers more than 15 dining venues including a new collection of outlets that range from upscale food carts to The Farm, a fine dining restaurant with seasonal cuisine much of which is sourced within 200 miles of Park City.
The resort is home to the Orange Bubble Express, which is North America's most technologically advanced and first heated chair lift; a lively gathering area at the base of the mountain named Ski Beach; a fast-paced zip line circuit; and 300 acres of new terrain at Iron Mountain.
In November 2011, Canyons proposed an 8-passenger gondola known as SkiLink that, subject to approvals, will connect Canyons and Solitude resorts in just 11 minutes and create the most unique ski network in North America. Salt Lake City International Airport is just 35 minutes away and provides convenient access from anywhere in the world.
I have to advise everyone that isn't familiar with Bachelor Ben's romantic history - his proposal was rejected by Ashley Hebert on The Bachelorette. Don't feel too sorry for Ben I'm sure he'll fall in love with Canyons Resort and Park City.
Now everyone can plan their own romantic retreat to Canyons Resort with the "Bachelor Bliss" package for travel throughout 2012. The package includes luxury accommodations at Waldorf Astoria Park City for your choice of a range of guest rooms, including Ben's one-bedroom residence and the women's Presidential Residence.
