Canadian freestyle skier and four time X Games champion Sarah Burke died today after being injured last week in the halfpipe at Park City, Utah. She was 29.
According to a statement released by Burke's publicist tests revealed Burke sustained irreversible damage to her brain due to lack of oxygen and blood after cardiac arrest.
Sarah was a true champion and her vibrant smile and freestyle skills will be greatly missed. My sincere condolences to her husband and her family.
