Waterville Valley Will Host 2012 Adaptive Alpine National Championships

The United States Olympic Committee has awarded Waterville Valley, NH the 2012 US Adaptive Alpine National Championships set for January 10-13, 2012.

This prestigious event will showcase the most talented disabled athletes from the U. S., Canada and other countries as they compete for the slalom and giant slalom national titles.

"We are so pleased to be returning to Waterville Valley, a resort that has not only hosted this national championship previously, but has also hosted many Alpine World Cup events over the years," said U.S.O.C. Event Director, Matt Cramer.

The schedule calls for a NORAM giant slalom on Tuesday, January 10th and the Giant Slalom National Championships on Wednesday, January 11. On Thursday, the 12th, the venue changes to a slalom NORAM, with the National Championship Slalom on Friday, January 13, 2012.

Bob Fries, President of Waterville Valley Ski Resort, commented, "We are so excited about the resort returning to the National and International stage for hosting elite level skiing events. This Adaptive Alpine national Championships will truly be an exciting event to have at Waterville Valley."
