The Navy Times reports that many ski resorts, including Smugglers' Notch, Big Sky, Deer Valley, Squaw Valley, Snowshoe Mountain, Whiteface and Sugarloaf are offering free or discounted skiing and snowboarding to military members.
Squaw is offering free skiing and snowboarding all season to sailors, soldiers, marines, airmen, and Coast Guard personnel on active duty throughout this winter season. Many other resorts offer significant discounts to military personnel. Some offer discounts, as well, to retired and reserve service personnel and to family members.
Everyone needs a spring break and nobody needs it more than our men and women in uniform. This is a great way to provide an opportunity for that time on the mountain to our military members. A special salute to all the resorts offering military discounts from a former Navy skier.
