As I have often said Skiing and Yoga go hand-in-hand, or hand to toe or head to toe, etc. In season or off season Yoga practice is a great way to maintain and increase flexibility, coordination, and balance.
There is nothing like a yoga immersion to clear the mind and body and over the weekend of August 20-22, Hope Lake Lodge at Greek Peak in New York will be hosting the Finger Lakes Yoga Festival. This event will feature over 30 classes, with over 15 teachers hailing from all over New York State.
The weekend will be three days of nonstop classes, three and four classes at a time, so people get to choose what they want to do. From six a.m. to midnight, classes will be starting about every two hours. Yoga classes for beginners, and the more advanced. Also, classes in meditation, belly dancing, nutrition, and fire dancing will be offered.
Oh! Bring the kids as there will be teachers trained in children's yoga who will offer yoga classes for children. If you would like more information visit the Finger Lakes Yoga Festival and Greek Peak Mountain Resort.
