The special 50th Anniversary Limited Edition of Karen Lorentz's Killington, A Story of Mountains and Men, published in conjunction with Killington's anniversary year, traces the pioneering ski area from inception to the newest owners, and is destined, like the first edition, to be a collector's item. The updated coffee-table sized hardcover contains 364 pages including 40 in color and many black and white photographs that illustrate the Vermont ski area's history and people.
If you're visiting Killington, you'll be able to get your own autographed copy at the Special Book Signing Event at Aspen East Ski Shop on Route 4, Killington, on Saturday, January 31 from 2:30 pm to 6 pm. Killington founder, Preston Leete Smith, will be on hand to autograph the book, along with many other original Killington personalities, and employees.
