Skiing Season Pass Discounts End Soon

Tuesday October 14, 2008
Arapahoe BasinIf you ski regularly at a specific ski resort, or two, now is the time to buy your season pass, if you haven't already. Discounted season passes are available at most ski resorts (online in many cases) and some passes, like the Epic Season Pass which gives you unlimited access to Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, Keystone, Arapahoe Basin, and Heavenly, enable you to ski at several resorts. The Epic Season Pass, by the way, is a really big bargain at only $579.

Before you buy a season pass, take the time to research options and choose which pass is best for you. Most resorts have several levels of season passes including an unlimited (no blackout dates) ski pass, limited passes (typical blackout dates are holiday weeks/weekends), midweek passes, and passes with discounts for kids, young adults, college students, and seniors. Read the fine print carefully, so you'll be able to ski when you want.

There's usually a cut-off date for buying discounted passes, so don't wait too long. Also, season pass insurance is available to protect your investment. That's something you might want to consider.

Arapahoe Basin By the way, here's one more good reason to get your pass. Ski season has officially started, with Arapahoe Basin and Loveland Ski Area opening October 15.
