Raich Gets 30th WC Win
Sunday December 9, 2007
Austrian Benjamin Raich went wire-to-wire in the men's slalom at Bad Kleinkircheim, Austria, taking both the first and second runs for the 30th World Cup win of his career. Jens Byggmark of Sweden was second and Manfred Moelgg, Italy, third. Jimmy Cochran was the only American to reach the second run and did not finish.
The men now move to Italy - a super G Friday and downhill Saturday in Val Gardena, followed by a giant slalom Sunday and a slalom on Monday in Alta Badia.
