World Cup Events Scheduled

World Cup Super G The United States Ski and Snowboard Association announced recently that four U.S. resorts will host twenty-three World Cup ski or snowboard competitions for the 2008 season. Seven alpine races, twelve freestyle contests, and four snowboard competitions are scheduled.

Included in the schedule is the American debut of a World Cup ski cross event at Deer Valley Resort in Utah. Women's downhill racing will return to U.S. slopes at Colorado's Aspen Mountain. Also, Beaver Creek, CO will host alpine events and Whiteface Mountain, NY will feature freestyle and snowboard competitions.

Scheduled Events Include:

Alpine
Nov. 29 - Dec. 2: Beaver Creek, CO - Men's Super Combined, Downhill, Super G, Giant Slalom
Dec. 7 - 9: Aspen, CO - Women's Downhill, Super G, Slalom

Freestyle
Jan. 18-20: Whiteface Mountain, NY - Men's and Women's Moguls, Aerials
Feb. 1 - 2: Deer Valley Resort, UT - Men's and Women's Aerials, Ski Cross, Dual Moguls
