2010 Winter Olympics – Counting Down

Saturday February 17, 2007
If you can’t wait until the Opening Ceremonies of the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, it appears you aren’t the only one. The Vancouver 2010 Olympic Committee has recently unveiled the Official Countdown Clock .

The clock, made by Omega, the official Timekeeper for the 2010 Games, is almost 20 feet tall, and sits on huge blocks of cast concrete at the Georgia Street Plaza near the Vancouver Art Gallery. Two electronic displays show the days, hours, minutes, and seconds until the start of Opening Ceremonies.

The Vancouver 2010 Olympic Committee wants get all Canadians involved in the countdown and is hosting a web site where you can send a photo supporting the countdown. And, if you're interested in working or volunteering at the Olympics, here's information on Vancouver Olympic jobs.
