Sunday River, Bethel, Maine, made the first snow of the season in the East last weekend. Temperatures dropped into the high 20's and the guns laid down a snow cover on the Broadway trail. Sunday River's projected opening day is Friday, Nov. 10 and the snowmaking represented a successful test of Sunday River's powerful snowmaking system, which will be fully operational in the coming weeks.
