The Muellers Choose Green Power

Monday August 21, 2006
According to the Ski Area Management (SAM), owners of Okemo Mountain Resort in Vermont, Crested Butte Mountain Resort in Colorado, and Mount Sunapee Resort, in New Hampshire, Tim and Diane Mueller, have jumped on the wind power bandwagon. Tim Mueller told SAM that “Protection of the environment is one of our core values,” as he and Diane entered into an agreement with Gunnison County Electric Association to fully offset the three areas’ annual electricity use by purchasing 27 million kilowatt hours of Renewable Energy Certificates from Sterling Planet.

The Muellers will also be paying a 10 percent premium on the purchase amount of renewable energy certificates for Crested Butte to participate in Sterling Planet's Investment for the Greater Good. This is a collaborative partnership between the Colorado Governor's Office of Energy Management and Conservation and Sterling Planet, to reinvest in Colorado-based renewable energy resources.

Way to go Tim and Diane, we thank you today, hopefully, someday the world will thank you.
