Summer in Scotland and Still Skiing
Saturday July 1, 2006
If you live in Scotland and you love to ski, what do you do on the first full weekend of summer? Go skiing of course, just like a group of avid skiers did on Scotland’s CairnGorm Mountain. While the lifts officially stopped May 7th, closing a seven month long season, there was still accessible snow and some intrepid Highlanders were determined to mark eight consecutive months of skiing. More than likely some of these will be making turns this month also, and it is said some years you can find patches of snow here all summer. More and more, I believe if Mother Nature snows on it somebody will ski on it.
