Brigham Named U.S. Men's Downhill and Super G Coach

Saturday May 13, 2006
Chris Brigham, a U.S. Ski Team alpine coach since the 1997 season, will take on the job of men's downhill and Super G head coach, replacing the retiring John McBride.

Brigham grew up in Sheffield, MA, and raced until graduating from UMass-Amherst in 1989. He then began coaching at Waterville Valley Academy in New Hampshire, and moved to the New York Ski Education Foundation (NYSEF) for five years. After one year with the Canadian ski team, Brigham came aboard the U.S. team for good.

Although losing Daron Rahlves, Brigham still inherits a world class group of skiers, lead by Bode Miller. We wish Coach Brigham great success next season and beyond.
