NASTAR National Championships

The NASTAR (NAtional STAndard Race) race season ended on a high note at the NASTAR national championships held at Steamboat Ski Resort, Steamboat Springs, CO. A record-breaking 1,338 racers, ages 3 - 86, from 44 states, Canada, and Australia spent three days competing and enjoying world class skiing. Copper Mountain Resort was the winner in the Team Event. Hallie Wiederholt, Welch Village Ski Area, was the female Alpine Race of Champions winner, while Scott Keister, Afton Alps, won the male event, beating James Black in a Ski Off after a tie finish.
