Food and Wine Classic in Aspen

If you're interested in good food and fine wine, Aspen's Food and Wine Classic, held each June, should be on your list of summer ski resort events to attend. Top chefs Mario Batali, Giada De Laurentiis, Bobby Flay, Emeril Lagasse, Jacques Pépin, and Wolfgang Puck, and noted wine experts Steve Olson, Joshua Wesson, and Daniel Johnnes will conduct seminars, wine tastings, and cooking demonstrations.

This is just one of the events on Aspen's busy summer events calendar. There's another food and wine festival in July, several music festivals, biking racing, and a family fun fest. Most ski resorts have a variety of special events during the off-season and lodging is often available at discount prices.
