Olympic Ski Racing - Ladies Day

Friday February 24, 2006
The last Women’s Alpine and Cross Country Events are scheduled for today. In Alpine skiing it’s the Giant Slalom two run event with short odds on Janica Kostelic. However, Julia Mancuso will be going all out and if she can hold those tighter, more direct turns she has been practicing she will definitely have a shot. A rising star who may surprise the spectators, but not the other racers, is Tina Maze of Slovenia.

In Cross Country, the Ladies 30 kilometer Freestyle with mass start will be contested. This race is a European favorite, both competitor and spectator wise.
